Country: Germany (Deutschland) State: Hamburg City: Hamburg Location: Sankt Pauli, Spielbudenplatz 1 Built 1841 as "Circus Gymnasticus" a circus building with 3000 seats. 1864 renamed "Central-Halle", also known as "Theater der Centralhalle". 1876 damaged by fire, subsequently rebuilt. 1904 rebuilding. Re-opened as "Neues Operettentheater". 1920 renamed "Operettenhaus". Later briefly renamed "Eden-Theater". Destroyed by bombs in 1945.
