Built 1902-1904 by Skjøld Neckelmann und Carl Nordmann, replacing the former events hall "Stadtgartensaal" (opened 1864). Opened 24 Sep 1904 with a concert (Conductor: Richard Strauss). Organ by Furtwängler & Hammer. Destroyed by bombs on 26 July 1943. [1949-1950, the new Saalbau was built on the site.]
