Built 1939 by Frank Wilmin Brewer as the headquarters of the British Malaya Broadcasting Corporation, including the "Cathay Cinema" and a hotel. Demolished 2003, with the façade remaining (incorporated in the new mall and multiplex cinema "The Cathay").
