Country: Chile Region: City: Concepción Location: Calle Barros Arana / Orompello Municipal opera house and theatre, built 1885-1890, on the site of the former Teatro Galán (destroyed by fire in 1892). 1928 purchased by the University of Concepción. 1939 damaged by an earthquake. Subsequently repaired. 1960 severely damaged by an earthquake and abandoned. 1973 destroyed by arson. Remains demolished in 1976. Link: Wikidata |
