Later renamed in honour of the Mexican liberal patriot, General José Santos Degollado (1819-1861). Home to the "Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco", the "Ballet Folklórico de la Universidad de Guadalajara", and the "Ballet del H. Ayuntamiento de Guadalajara".
