It was said to have been the mnost important vaudeville theater in Wichita and was known for its excellent facilities and acoustic properties. Many first-rate movies were also shown there through the years. There came a time when the lights were turned off and the building was vacated, but in recent years it has been revived and restored by the Orpheum Performing Arts Centre, Ltd, a not-for-profit organization.
