Performing arts center, opened July 1987 as "Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center". 2009 renamed "David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts" after a donor. 2018 major renovations. The complex contains several halls: Carol Morsani Hall (2610 seats), Ferguson Hall (1042 seats), Jaeb Theater (268 seats), Shimberg Playhouse (130 seats) and TECO Theater (flexible seating). Home to Opera Tampa, Jobsite Theater and Next Generation Ballet as well as other local arts organizations.
