Dodd as "Mission Play Theatre" for John Steven McGroaty to house his historical drama "Mission Play" (played there until 1932). From 1932 used as a cinema. 1945 purchased by the city of San Gabriel. Re-opened as a performing arts center named "San Gabriel Civic Auditorium". 1971 installation of the Wurlitzer theatre organ from the E. F. Albee Theatre in Brooklyn, New York City.
