Opened 18 March 1908 as "New Alcazar Theatre". 1912 renamed "Republic Theatre", ca. 1926 renamed "Sutter Theatre". 1930 rebuilding in Art Deco style, re-opened as "Uptown Theatre". Closed 1970.
