Built 1928 by Rapp & Rapp with DeYoung and Roald. Opened 1928 as "Portland Publix Theatre". Later renamed "Paramound Theatre" (with the neon sign lettering changing from "Portland" to "Paramount"). 1984 renamed "Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall" after the American philanthropist and art collector, Arlene Schnitzer (1929-2020). In 1984 the sign was replaced by a replica, with the lettering changed back to "Portland". Home to the Oregon Symphony. Originally 3400 seats, now 2776 seats.
