Opened 4 July 1917 as "Public Auditorium", also known as "Municipal Auditorium", later renamed "Civic Auditorium". 1967-1968 major rebuilding, preserving only 17% of the former building. 2000 renamed "Keller Auditorium" in honour of donor Richard B. Keller.

1917-1984 home to Portland Symphony Orchestra (now Oregon Symphony). Home to Portland Opera and Oregon Ballet Theatre. Operated as part of "Portland'5 Centers for the Art".
