Library and music hall complex "Carnegie Free Library of Allegheny", built 1886-1890 by John L. Smithmeyer and Paul J. Pelz, funded by Andrew Carnegie. "Carnegie Hall" (renamed "Hazlett Theatre" in 1980) used by the Pittsburgh Public Theatre company from 1974 until 1999. Since 2004 used by the New Hazlett Theater company. The former library part is used as the "Children's Museum of Pittsburgh".
