Broadway theatre, built 1913 by Henry Beaumont Herts. Opened 2 Oct 1913 with Shakespeare's "Hamlet". Used for musical and drama productions. From 1975 to 1990, site of 6137 performances of the musical, "A Chorus Line". 1996 restorations. 1460 seats. The building also contains the offices of the Shubert Theatre Organization.
