McElfatrick & Co for Frank Sanger, Al Hayman, and producer Charles Frohman. Opened 25 Jan 1893 with David Belasco's play "The Girl I Left Behind Me". 1903 interior rebuilding and auditorium redecoration by Carrere & Hastings. Mainly used for drama performances, including Lindsay & Crouse's "Life with Father" (1939-1945). Demolished in 1953 in favour of an office building. |
