Cinema and vaudeville theatre, built 1926 by Thomas W. Lamb for the Loew's theatre circuit. opened 3 April 1926 as "State Theatre", also known as "Loew's State Theatre". 3335 seats. Renovated in the late 1980s and renamed "State palace Theatre". Used as a music and rave venue in the 1990s. Damaged by the 2005 hurricane "Katrina" flooding. Closed and abandoned.
