Multi-purpose hall complex, built 1931 by J. Harold McDowell and William Horace Austin, as a replacement of the old Auditorium at a nearby site. Opened 8 March 1932. Also known as "Civic Auditorium". The complex contained an "Exhibition Hall" (capacity: up to 8000 persons; 2843 seats in theatre seating) and a "Concert Hall" (1377 seats). 1964 extension by another venue named "Arena". Demolished 1975 in favour of the "Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center".
