Built 1894 for Theodore Fischer as an annexe to his hotel "Bavarian Inn". Used as a performance hall and local meeting place. Also known as "Fischer Hall". Re-opened as a summer theatre in July 1973 with Ralph Benatzky's revue "Im Weißen Rössl". 140 seats. 1986 donated to the Frankenmuth Historical Association and translocated ca. 150 m to Main Street next to the Frankenmuth Historical Association Museum. Used for hosting local events, weddings and performances.

Reverse Text: "Fischer Opera Haus. Frankenmuth, Michigan 48734. The old Fischer Opera Haus (established in 1894) located directly behind the Bavarian Inn re-opened in July, 1973 as a summer theatre. The first play to be presented was 'Im Weissen Rossl' (White Horse Inn) - a German musical comedy; a scene of which is featured on this postcard. The Opera Haus offers a seating capacity of 140 people. For future summer performances, reservations are encouraged and can be made in person at the Bavarian Inn office or by phoning (517) 652-9941."
