Built 1928 by William Kapp. Opened 10 Dec 1928 as "Wilson Theatre". Used for drama performances and as a cinema. 1946 renamed "Detroit Music Hall". 1946-1949 home to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, 1953-1970 used as a cinema, 1971-1984 home to "Michigan Opera Theatre". 1974 renamed "Music Hall Center for Performing Arts". Originally over 2000 seats, currently 1731 seats. Used for concerts and various events.
