Opened 25 Nov 1931 as "RKO Orpheum Theater". Used for live theatre and as a cinema. Closed as a cinema in 1973, with occasional use as a touring venue. 1984-1986 major renovation by Scholtz-Kuehn and Paul S. Veneklasen. Re-opened 9 Jan as "Adler Theatre", named after after newspaper publishers Emmanuel P. Adler and his son Phillip D. Adler. Operated as part of the RiverCenter, a neighbouring convention center.
