Reverse Text: "Fallon House - Columbia, California. When gold was discovered in March of 1850 at the foot of Kennebek Hill there was no lodging house in the area. Soon a shack was thrown together and called Eagle Cottage. Just before the great fire, the shack was bought by Owen Fallon. The present buildings was completed in 1860 and reopened as the Fallon House. today the lower floor is used as a playhouse ... M.
