Reverse Text: "M. I. T. Auditorium Dedicated May 8, 1955. Cambridge, Massachusetts. Made possible by the generosity of the Kresge Foundation. Interior walls of the Auditorium are not connected structurally with the dome, permtiting it to expand and contract with the temperature. The Auditorium serves as a meeting place for M. I. T. conference groups and for musical concerts. Beneath the Auditorium is the Little Theatre designed for intimate dramatic procuctions."
