Performing arts center and art museum, built 1966-1968 by Joe Amisano. Opened 5 March 1968 as "Memorial Arts Center", in memory of the victims of Air France flight 007 that had crashed in Paris in 1962. 1982 renamed "Woodruff Arts Center" in hounour of the benefactor Robert W. Woodruff. 1983 extension by a museum tract by Richard Meier. Home to Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Museum of High Art Atlanta.
