Opened 23 Oct 1931 as "RKO Palace Theatre" with the film "Devotion". 1960 rebuilding (including a new marquee). Closed Sep 1969. Subsequently purchased by the city of Albany and re-opened as a music venue and live theatre (also known as "Albany Civic Auditorium"). 2002 renovation. 2004 installation of a replica of the original marquee. 2844 seats.
