Country: England, United Kingdom Historic County: Essex City: Southend-on-Sea Location: 39 Marine Parade Built 1901 as part of "Luna Park & Palace Amusement Park" (later renamed "Kursaal"), one of the world's first purpose-built amusement parks. The building contained various amusements, a circus and a cinema. Closed 1986. 1998 rebuilt, preserving only the dome and the facades.
