Subsequently used as corn chandler's and furniture store house, as wine vaults and as an auction room. Rediscovered in 1940. 1963 restored by Richard Southern and Richard Leacroft. Re-opened as a working theatre in 1963. Used for drama, music hall, poetry, comedy and youth theatre performances and for classical concerts. 2001-2003 major restoration.
