Built 1920-1921 by James Henry LaTrobe and Thomas Harry Weston. Opened 29 Nov 1921 as "Whiteladies Picture House" with the 1920 film "Polyanna". 1314 seats. 1959 interior modernisation. 1965 renamed "ABC Cinema" (later "Cannon Cinema", "MGM Cinema", and again "ABC Cinema"). 1978 ballroom and other rooms converted into two additional cinema halls. Closed 2001. Subsequently front section used as a restaurant. 2016 re-opened as "Everyman Bristol" with three halls.
