Country: Italy (Italia) Region: Toscana City: Sabbioneta Location: Via Teatro Olimpico Built 1588-1590 by Vincenzo Scamozzi for Duke Vespasiano Gonzaga. Used as a theatre only 1590-1591, then closed. Used as a miltary hospital in the 17th century. Later used as a cinema until the 1970s. Restored in the 1980s. Used for concerts. Also known as "Teatro Olimpico" or "Teatro Ducale".
