Built 1854 by Telemaco Bonaiuti. Opened as "Teatro Pagliano", named after the impresario, Girolamo Pagliano (1801-1881). 1901 renamed in honour of the Italian opera composer, Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901). Also known as "Regio Teatro Verdi" (Royal Verdi Theatre). 1538 seats. Used for musical and drama performances and concerts.
