Culture and community centre, built 1958-1962 by Alvar Aalto. Opened 1962 as "Kulturzentrum". The complex originally contained a folk high school with variuos lecture halls (up to 230 seats), a library and a youth centre. In the 1990s renamed "Alvar-Aalto-Kulturhaus" in honour of its architect, Alvar Aalto (1898-1976). Currently used as a library (with lecture hall) and as a restaurant.
