Built 1763-1769 by Carl von Gontard, Jan Boumann sr., and Johann Christian Hopenhaupt jr. for King Friedrich II. of Prussia inside the Southern wing of the "Neues Palais" palace. Renovations in 1991, ca. 2018 and 2025-2027. 226 seats. Used for performances by the "Hans-Otto-Theater" companies and for opera and drama performances by various festivals.
