Country: Germany (Deutschland) State: Brandenburg City: Potsdam Location: Alter Markt Built 1753-1755 as a town hall by Johann Boumann and Christian Ludwig Hildebrandt. Severely damaged in World War II. Rebuilt 1966 as a house of culture, named "Kulturhaus Hand Marchwitza" in honour of the German poet, Hans Marchwitza (1890-1965). 1995 renamed "Altes Rathaus".
