Opened 1955 as "Universum-Theater". 1964 extended by a basement studio cinema. 1973-1974 major rebuilding, re-opened 1974 with three screens, "Universum", "Kaskade" and "Studio". 1997-1998 major rebuilding into a new multiplex cinema named "Cineplex Paderborn" (with 1900 seats in total).
