Country: Germany (Deutschland) State: Mecklenburg-Vorpommern District: Landkreis Mecklenburgische Seenplatte City: Neustrelitz Location: Schlossgarten / Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Straße Built 1775 by Martin Seydel as a riding school. 1775 converted into a theatre and renamed "Komödien- und Redoutenhaus". 1779 renamed "Mecklenburgisch-Strelitzsches Hoftheater", later also known as "Großherzogliches Hoftheater". 1824 and 1877 rebuildings. 1919 renamed "Landestheater Neustrelitz". Destroyed by fire in Jan 1924. Subsequently, a new Landestheater was built on the site. Link: Wikidata |
