Built as a residential house named "Klusemannsche Villa". 1907 purchased by the "Harmonie-Geselslchaft", extended and used as a community and cultural centre named "Harmonie". 1945 used as a theatre by the U.S. Army. Later used as municipal theatre named "Stadttheater". Later renamed "Kammerspiele" and "Schauspielhaus". Used for drama performances by the resident municipal drama company "Theater Magdeburg".
