Built 1968 by Alfred Koch, Edwin Steinhauer, and Gerhard Troitzsch. Opened 21 Sep 1968 with Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte" by the Nationaltheater Mannheim ensemble. The Pfalzbau complex is also used as a multi-purpose venue for congresses and conventions.
