Built 1889 as a variety and operetta theatre for the magician Hermann Mellini. 1677 seats. Ca. 1933-1945 part of the Nazi "Kraft durch Freude" programme. 1943 severely damaged by bombs. From 1946 basement used as chamber theatre ("Junge Bühne", later "Kammerspiele"). Demolished 1954 in favour of a bank building.
