Country: Germany (Deutschland) State: Hessen District: Main-Kinzig-Kreis City: Hanau Location: Schloßplatz 1 Built 1928 as a multi-purpose hall by converting the "Marstall" [stables] of the Stadtschloß palace. Destroyed by bombs on 19 Mar 1945. 1949-1950 rebuilding for use as a multi-purpose hall and as a theatre. 1965-1966 major rebuilding and extension. Used for theatre performances, concerts and congresses. Closed 2001 for major rebuilding and extension. 2003 re-opened as part of the "Congress Park Hanau".
