Concert hall, built 1904-1908 by Martin Haller and Emil Meerwein for the city of Hamburg. Funded by a donation by the shipping company owner Carl Laeisz and his widow Sophie Laiesz. Opened 4 June 1908. The complex contains several halls: Großer Saal (2.025 seats), Kleiner Saal (640 seats), Studio E (150 seats), and the Brahms-Foyer (80 seats). Home to the Hamburger Symphoniker and the Ensemble Resonanz.
