Built 1928-1929 by Otto Bartning as "Musikheim", a school for music teachers. 1945 converted into a theatre and used by the municipal theatre company. 1952 renamed "Kleist-Theater" in honour of the German writer, Heinrich von Kleist (1777-1811). Closed 22 April 2000.
