Cinema, built 1948 by Alios Geifer and Hermann Mackler on the site of the former "Ufa-Theater im Schwan" [destroyed in World War II]. Opened 21 Dec 1949 with the premiere of the film "Die Reise nach Marrakesch". 1200 seats. Addition of more screens in 1954 ("Bambi"), 1967 ("Pallette") and 1980 (three more screens). Also known as "Metro Kinocenter". Closed 1989. Demolished and replaced by shops.
