Used for drama and opera performances. 1.400 seats (1889). 1933 renamed "Staatstheater", 1 Apr 1942 renamed "Theater der Hansestadt Bremen", 7 Apr 1943 renamed "Opernhaus". Severely damaged by bombs on 6 Oct 1944. Remains demolished in 1965. Notable world premieres:
