Country: Germany (Deutschland) State: Berlin City: Berlin Location: Charlottenburg, Kurfürstendamm 12/13 (formerly 10/10a) Cinema, built 1953 by Siegfried Fehr and Gerhard Jäckel on the site of a former cinema of that name [built 1894-1896 as first "Romanisches Haus", 1926 major rebuilding and opening of "Gloria-Palast" cinema, destroyed by bombs in 1943]. 1971 interior rebuilding. 1972 addition of a smaller cinema "Gloriette" in the basement. 1986 major interior rebuilding of both halls. Closed 15 Aug 1998. From 2008 used as a shop. Demolished Feb 2018 despite a cultural heritage designation for the foyer, box office, spiral staircase and neon sign.
