Opened 1 Nov 1811, probably with Calderón's "Der standhafte Prinz". Severely damaged by bombs in 1944 and 1945. 1959-1960 renovations. 1980-1981 renovations and stagehouse rebuilding. 533 seats (+ 62 standing). Currently used for guest performances. |
