Circus building, built 1884 by Marcel Boille, replacing a former circus building (opened 1865 as "Cirque Napoléon"). Opened 1884 as "Cirque de la Touraine". Used for circus performances and as a multi-purpose hall. Until 1889 also used as municipal theatre. Demolished 1927. [Currently the site is occupied by the American War Memorial in front of the municipal library.]
