Built 1859-1864 as an arsenal. 1987-1989 converted into a concert hall and performing arts centre by Ricardo Bofill. Opened 26 Feb 1989 with a concert by Mstislav Rostropovich. The complex contains two halls (1500 seats and 350 seats), reception rooms and exhibition space. Home to the Orchestre National de Lorraine.
