Re-opened 18 May 1996 as "Théâtre de Copiaus", named in honor of the French actor and theatre director, Jacques Copeau (1879-1949), after whom the actors of his troupe were nicknamed "les Copiaus" in his home village of Pernand Vergelesses (Bourgogne).
