"Lappia Hall" arts and convention centre, built 1961-1975 by Alvar Aalto. First phase of construction (including a radio station and a music school) finished in 1961. 1968-1972 extension by theatre halls, 1973-1975 extension by a convention centre. The complex contains three halls: Tieva-sali (419 seats), Saivo-sali (300 seats) and Kero-sali (110 seats).
