National Theatre. Built 1973 in a raw brutalist style. 1983-1984 major exterior rebuilding, hiding the original facade. 2012-2014 exterior rebuilding to the plans of 1973. Officially named "Teatrul Național Ion Luca Caragiale" in honour of the Romanian playwright, Ion Luca Caragiale (1852-1912). 2880 seats.
