Built 1868 for the hotel owner, Gerhardus Bernardus Ogterop. Opened 25 May 1868. 1968 purchased by the municipality. Subsequently the whole hotel complex was demolished with the exception of the historical theatre hall. A new theatre was built around it with foyers, a second hall and a restaurant. Re-opened 9 October 1971. Main hall ("Grote Zaal"): 484 seats, small hall ("Engelenbak"): 120 seats.
