Built 1961 by F. P. J. Peutz and B. Bijvoet. Opened 18 Nov 1961 as "Stadsschouwburg" with Giuseppe Verd's "Don Carlos" (by the Nederlandse Opera company). 1999 renamed "Theater Heerlen". Operated by "Parkstad Limburg Theaters". The building contains three halls (1103 seats, 362 seats and 142 seats).
